Screen printing workshop in Gouarec, central Brittany

Otto opened the workshop in 2021 after moving from Bath, UK, where he had set up his first workshop, Marshfield Screen Print.
Atelier Salamandre is equipped with a large format Kippax hand bench, Large drying rack, exposure unit, washout unit, lightbox, A0 inkjet printer for positives, Photoshop.
Minimum requirements for experienced printmakers to use the workshop are:
- Bring your own paper and inks
- Pay for materials you use such as print-out of positives and emulsion
- Take great care when using the screen printing table not to get any ink or water on it. For experimental printing there is a small handmade table.
- Make sure the glass of the exposure unit is clean after use.

Attached is a small self contained living space available for rent at 46 Euros/night. It has its own entrance, a bathroom, small kitchen and mezzanine bedroom. Please contact us regarding use of gite / atelier. The gite is also available on AirBnB.
Belonging to the buildings is a garden and a large terrain to explore.

Salamandre is situated on the edge of the village Gouarec, in the centre of Britanny. The attractive village has a few bars and restaurants, two banks, a shop, bakery and post office/mairie. It is crossed by the canal Nantes à Brest, which offers excellent cycling and walking possibilities. Next to the canal is a campsite. Beaches are an hour or two away by car to the north, west and south.
