Statement 2025 (English)
Otto is a graphic artist who designs and screen-prints books at workshop Salamandre, located in central Brittany. Otto founded Salamandre after running MSP, a screen-printing workshop in Bath, England.
His books contain his own visual narratives, often accompanied by text. Having worked as an editorial illustrator in the 1990s and 2000s, illustration plays a central role in his work. Influenced by 1920s Constructivism, Otto integrates imagery, design, and typography. He also shapes original folds and bindings to create captivating stories.
His varied themes include science fiction, geometric formalism, visual poetry, instruction manuals, architecture, and socio-political commentary. His latest project is the design of a large-format receipt, which explains in detail the story of its creation.

Otto est un graphiste qui conçoit et sérigraphie des livres à l'atelier Salamandre, situé en centre-Bretagne. Otto a fondé Salamandre après avoir dirigé MSP, un atelier de sérigraphie à Bath, en Angleterre.
Ses livres contiennent ses propres récits visuels, souvent accompagnés de texte. Ayant travaillé comme illustrateur éditorial dans les années 1990 et 2000, l'illustration occupe une place centrale dans son travail. Influencé par le constructivisme des années 1920, Otto intègre imagerie, design et typographie. Il façonne également des plis et des reliures originaux pour créer des histoires captivantes.
